The NT Files

Concerned individuals seeking ways to support the cause of promoting competition and innovation in the computing industry should consider the relatively quick and painless method of contributing to the NT Files.

  • Provide a fresh URL for the article or site (please check it first).
  • Provide a date and source for the article.
  • Choose a submission category (preferably, as in the NT Files Subdirectory).
  • Prepare a one paragraph summary of the article (25-50 words, stated in layman's terms).
  • E-mail it to us, and include "NT Files Submission" in the subject heading.

All contributors to the project will be credited here, unless specifically requested otherwise.

My problem is, I'm forced to upgrade all the time -- not for functionality I want, but for features someone [at Microsoft] wanted for me. I need to stay current, though, to get good [technical] support. We're rats on a treadmill. [Microsoft is] working in the best interest of Microsoft, and I don't think they listen to users.
