Oxnard Bl Between Rose and Pleasant Valley--

June 19, 2001 Caltrans closed Route 1 (Oxnard Boulevard) between Rose Avenue and Pleasant Valley Road as part of the reconstruction of the Pleasant Valley Road/ Route 1 interchange. This closure will last until November 2002. A detour route for southbound Oxnard Boulevard is signed as follows-- south on Rose Avenue to Channel Islands Boulevard, east on Channel Islands Boulevard to Rice Avenue and south on Rice Avenue to Pleasant Valley Road where re-entry to Route 1 can be made. All northbound traffic on Route 1 exits at Pleasant Valley Road with a right turn to Rice Avenue followed by a left turn at the Channel Islands Boulevard signal and continues straight to the on-ramp for northbound Route 1 west of Du Pont.

Channel Islands near Rose Ave--

As part of the development of new housing in the northwest corner of Rose and Channel Islands, a storm drain is to be installed in Channel Islands Bl between Rose Ave and Albany Drive. There will be one lane in each direction on Channel Islands for approximately one month to complete this work.

Rose Avenue near Route 101--

The median of Rose Avenue will be modified to provide two left lanes in each direction from Rose Avenue at Lockwood starting the week of June 17. There will be two through lanes instead of three from 9am to 3 pm for the next two weeks to accomplish this work.
