Every Saturday and Sunday, America's Teaching Zoo is open to the public. You can explore the zoo, introduce kids to all kinds of exotic animals, watch zoo personnel feed lions and hyenas, and attend 15-minute demonstrations that focus on particular animals or groups of animals--like reptiles, parrots and South American mammals.
The zoo is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The demonstrations are at noon, 1, 2 and 3 p.m. The carnivore feeding is at 3:45. Hope to see you for a fun day!
