WELCOME TO THE BUILDING AND SAFETY DIVISION The Building and Safety Division is dedicated to providing the highest level of plan review and inspection services to every architect, engineer, developer, contractor and property owner that operates within our community. Fairness, equality and the highest standard of professional ethics are our goals in providing services while enforcing state construction laws and local ordinances.
Building and safety codes are developed and/or modified by the California Building Standards Commission each year to ensure the continued safety of our homes, schools, places of employment, stores that we patronize, and entertainment establishments that we frequent. These code requirements provide all of us a measure of assurance that we are safe in these structures. To help you get acquainted with the processes of the Building and Safety Division; the following information has been assembled. |
The Building and Safety Division
provides daily plan reviews and inspections for all developments and projects to ensure that the minimum requirements of the California Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and
Energy Codes are adhered to. The Division is committed to providing an exceptional code enforcement program that will ensure safe and stable structures throughout the City for all to enjoy for many years to come. |
