The Compliance Division is comprised of two sections: Code Enforcement and Waste/Franchise Services. The Code Enforcement Section enforces municipal ordinances; ensures permit compliance; processes
regulatory referrals from City Departments; conducts programs with regard to property maintenance, public nuisance abatement, trash accumulations, and temporary signs. The Waste/Franchise Services Section administers
the City's solid waste programs (including monitoring the City's discards ordinance and franchises); implements and administers the City's Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan; coordinates curbside recycling,
multifamily and commercial recycling/composting programs, and other landfill diversion programs; provides solid waste technical support to the Ventura County Council of Governments (VCOG), which functions as the AB 939
Local Task Force; renders staff support to the East Ventura County Waste Task Force; administers the City's cable television ordinance, franchise, and Federal Communications Commission regulations; coordinates wireless
telecommunications issues, ordinances, and agreements; manages the vector control services agreement, and administers the Animal Control ordinance and associated contracts. The following links provide additional
