Local Multi-Hazard Mitigation Planning

The Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA 2000) establishes hazard mitigation planning requirements for local governments.  DMA 2000 is intended to make communities across the nation more ``resistant" by encouraging pre disaster planning and mitigation efforts.

The City of Simi Valley has coordinated the development of a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan documents the community's known hazards, capabilities, and vulnerabilities and identify strategies to overcome those vulnerabilities.
