Youth Council

The Simi Valley Youth Council is an official City advisory board, appointed by the City Council, to review youth concerns and provide an active role in City government by advising the City Council on issues related to the youth of Simi Valley.  Each month a Youth Council member is invited to attend a City Council meeting to address the City Council and community about Youth Council projects.

City residents between the ages of 13 and 19 are eligible to be members of the Youth Council.  Each local high school and middle school is represented on the 24 member Youth Council with appointments to one year terms.  The Youth Council meets for approximately one hour on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 5:00 p.m., in the City Hall Community Room, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.  The meetings are open to the public.

For more information regarding the Youth Council, please call the Youth Council Coordinator at (805) 583-6766.
