- We are Supporters, Fans and promoters of the Birman breed. A warm welcome to the Red and lynx factor Birmans and the international Birman community.
- The list is a closed list. Therefore you will need to answers some question about who you are and abide by the rules of this list.
- The goal of this mailing list is to provide a means where Birman Fanciers can gather, support the Birman breed, and promote our hobby of Birman breeding, showing and owning a Birman cuddle cat.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR THE BIRMAN FANCIERS MAILING LIST
This list is devoted to the Birman Cat (Sacred Cat of Burma) and is addressed to Birman breeders and owners from all over the world. The aim of the list is to provide a means where Birman Fanciers can gather, support the Birman breed, promote our hobby of pedigree Birman breeding; showing and owning a Birman cat. By joining this list you stating that you agree with our goals.
Once you have subscribed to this list, you will notice that all messages from the list will have - [BIRMAN] - in the subject area of each message. This will allow you to quickly identify messages that are from this list.
This list is sometimes monitored and moderated by us and we try to not censored. There are a few rules that everyone must follow so that the list can operate smoothly:
Birman Fanciers List Rules:
- We kindly ask you to stick to the subject which is the Birmans in general, breeding activities, genetics, health and care, and pedigree information.
- Maintain a civil conversation and to respect every opinion even if it differs from yours. In case you totally disagree with someone, please, try to remain calm and polite or continue the discussion privately... Getting angry doesn't solve any problems!
- One thing that will not be tolerated is Flaming. Flamers will be removed from the list, so please if you have a dispute with someone please step outside of the list.
- Kitten announcements are welcomed. It will be interesting to know about their parents too.
- Selling or posting commercial advertisement to the list is not allowed. This does not include offers made by breed clubs and pedigree cat associations. Kitten announcements are welcome but kittens for sale should be directed to your website or email address.
- Minimize cross posting. (except for emergencies)
- Please do not send any attachments. If you want us see your pictures etc. post it to you website and send the list your URL so we can go see it at our option.
- Responses to the list goes back to the individual or if you choose "Reply All" the response will go to the individual and the list.
- Please do not post viruses alerts, and Urban Legends i.e. Febrees scare, long distance charges, Mrs. Fields Cookies.
