Comtempory issue effecting the Birman Has been removed - The Ragdoll breed has been advance to championship status in CFA - Congratulation! It is now up to the judges to reward those Ragdolls with the title of Grandchampion to Ragdolls have that demonstrate their uniqueness
The list is now a closed list and requires approval before excepting membership. Membership is based on a referral. The list is dedicated to Birman: Sacred Cat of Birman fanciers. Supporters, Fans and promoters of the Birman breed. A warm welcome is extended to the Red and lynx factor Birmans and the international Birman community.
Show picture is an on going affair. Not as much as before. Spreading myself a little thin but I will put up what I can.
A lot has been happen since we last talked. The Telepathic Cat Test has move and is still available and is proven to demonstrate ESP abilities. There are many additions to the CFA show image pages. Some touch on the regional politic. The Birman History page has a new edition of a beautifully restored photograph of one of our early Birmans. I have a new guestbook. It took me two day to write the PERL code, which wasn't a piece of cake. I just found a few bugs in it but I think I have them zapped.
I hope everyone had a nice holiday. As a jester of hope and happiness I put up a page of holidays cards. I also add a page on cat abuse. The story is graphic. It made me feel so sick. I am not an animal rights fanatic. This page tells the reason why. I also started a list of humane organizations that are non political. They welcome anyone who wants to help. This past weekend I attended the National Birman fanciers show in Carney Point NJ. The show was fantastic. There was over 50 Birman kittens competing, a huge class of chocolates and lilacs, and nearly 10 Birmans of ALL COLORS on exhibition.
My adventure happen the day before the show but I finally made it. The complete story is posted under the heading of CFA Show Images. You know the old saying about rain clouds and silver lining? Well my silver lining is a lilac female I brought home. Imagine's Ultra Violet of Katascali.
This past month we added a few new features, did some maintenance, added new graphics and revamped our guestbook. Our guestbook now gives you immediate feedback of your entry. Do tryout the guestbook and let me know if you like the changes.
Temple of the Sacred Cat has a new graphic and Katascali Cattery has undergone some maintance fixes and reorganization. The most graphic of these changes are the inclusion of two new type faces. The headers now have herculanum or arial. Herculanum is an Adobe postscript font which as the characteristic of ancient writing and arial is from Microsoft, that has a clean and simple look.
As always this site is best view in 24 bit color. At 8 bit you get approximately 256 colors. The color limitation of 8 bit, causes dithering and substitution of most colors with one in the 8 bit color palette. The program chooses what color is substituted, not you. That is the reason you see a muddy green instead of the beige color type on my pages. In addition, most of the images are in JPEG. JPEG utilities a 24 bit color compression algorithium enabling millions of colors to be seen. I strongly advise upgrading your system to 24 bit color. Eight bit is leaving you color blind.
